Olympiaregion Seefeld - Winter sports paradise in unique landscape!

In winter Seefeld in Tirol is truly a fashionable ski & winter sport resort, with all sorts of fantastic possibilities and numerous attractions also for the non-skier including winter-hiking on cleared and gritted trails, cross-country skiing, snowboarding, snow-rafting, tobogganing, alpine-curling, ice-skating and horse drawn sleigh rides.

Thanks to the ideal location of Hotel Princess Bergfrieden, you can step into the free ski bus right in front of the hotel. Within 10 minutes the ski bus will bring you to the ski lifts of the the well groomed ski runs of the Gschwandtkopf and the Rosshütte. The Olympiaregion Seefeld has a small, but yet superb selection of alpine ski areas boasting 37 kilometres of slopes and some 30 cable-cars and lifts. The Rosshütte/Seefeld ski area was voted test winner in 2015 in the category “Insider tip – premier ski areas with up to 20 km of piste”. The ‘Kinderland’ children’s area built last year now has an additional covered conveyor belt. The existing snow-making facilities have been modernised and increased by a further 6 large snow cannons for snow guarantee from beginning of December to beginning of April.


The Olympiaregion Seefeld, with the Rosshütte, Gschwandtkopf, Geigenbühel/Birkenlift and Hochmoos ski areas, invites you to come along and enjoy skiing on the sun-blessed high plateau. The skiing in Seefeld tends to favour the beginner and intermediate with little to test the best skiers or boarders, but that is not the main reason for a winter holiday in Seefeld. Seefeld offers a refined resort feel with ample skiing and numerous other attractions.


Nordic Sports & Lifestyle in Seefeld

Cross-country skiing pleasure on 279 km perfect trails!

Cross-country skiing is a hugely popular pursuit in the area and the Olympiaregion Seefeld hosts some of the most extensive cross-country skiing and nordic sports facilities in the alps. Directly in front of the hotel, you can enter one of the cross-country ski trails that cross through Seefeld and its breathtaking surroundings. With 279 kilometres of immaculately groomed trails covering all levels of difficulty, everyone can enjoy the sport to its fullest.


Winter hiking
For winter walking and hiking enthusiasts Seefeld offers more than 142 km of cleared and gritted trails in breathtakingly beautiful snow-covered landscape. Also snowshoe devotees find special snowshoe trails on the high plateau of Seefeld. And last but not least, a trip with a horse sleigh through the village will bring you to the most charming little places.
